Tony Lo Bianco

Actor/ Director/ Writer/ Producer

The career of actor Tony Lo Bianco is distinguished as much by its depth and variety as by the skills and gifts he brings to his work. He has appeared in more than 100 films, television programs and stage performances. He has worked both on screen and off, as a director, writer and producer. Throughout his career, he collaborated with many of the brightest creative minds in the performing arts, both past and present. He is currently teaching acting, and is a member of The Actors Studio.


Tony was born in Brooklyn, New York, a former Golden Gloves boxer and all-star baseball player in his youth. He starred in the Academy Award-winning file The French Connection. A Tony-nominated actor, he is a winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award for A View from the Bridge on Broadway; Obie Award for Yanks-3, Detroit-0, Top of the 7th; and Emmy Award for his portrayal of New York Mayor Fiorello La Guardia in Hizzoner! Tony starred notably in The Juror, Blood Brothers, City Heat, Nixon, The Seven Ups, Honeymoon Killers, and Kill the Irishman, among many other films. He directed one feature and five television shows. His Just a Common Soldier video received over 27 million views and 2 Emmys.


Tony is proud of his involvement with the USO, Building Homes for Heroes, the Wounded Warrior Project, NIAF, Sons of Italy in America, St. Francis Food Pantries, Operation Warrior Shield, local Police and Fire Departments and many other charitable organizations.


Tony is now married to the love of his life, the beautiful and talented Alyse, and they divide their time between their apartment in New York City and their horse farm in Poolesville, Maryland.
